The Square on 21st spans 21st street from Larimer to Lawrence (The Ballpark Block) and will be entertaining Denverites until August 15th, 2017 from 7am to 11pm, daily. Often, buyers find themselves focusing more on finding a home they love while remaining in their budget and are unable to even consider what school zone the property is in. This can lead to disappointment and frustration, when future educational plans seem all but dashed.

But, we see a real opportunity for educational improvement amidst this low-inventory housing market. With all types of families moving into

Do Millennials Hold the Keys to the Future of Homes?

Millennials Buying Homes in Denver

By Derek Schimmel
derek.schimmel@gmail.com

Do Millennials hold the keys to the future of homes? Mind the pun, but the fact remains: 18 to 34 year-olds make up the largest age demographic in the United States, and their innovations and ever-changing habits are altering the way we look at real estate each and every day. This is most notably seen in delaying what are widely regarding as some of life’s biggest choices — when to marry, have children, and buy a home. The latter on this short list seems to be taking a turn, as baby boomers’ babies are beginning to join the masses in the transition from renting to owning. And now that they’ve started, there is no end in sight.

Do’s and Don’ts for Keeping your Pup Safe this Independence Day

Fourth-of-July-Pet-Safety

Fourth of July Fireworks are fun and exciting for us, but can be truly terrifying for our pets. It can cause them to go into Fight or Flight Mode, either destroying the house or leaving a Fido sized hole in the window screen. More dogs go missing and end up in shelters on Fourth of July weekend than any other time of year. According to PetAmberAlert.com, animal control sees a 30-60% increase in lost pets on July 4-6 every year. Sadly only 14% are returned to their owners. We want your dog to be safe and happy this Independence Day, so we’ve put together a list of Do’s and Dont’s to minimize the negative impact on your best friend, because a happy dog makes a happy home!

Take-your-dog-to-work-day

This Friday, June 23rd is Take Your Dog to Work Day, an annual tradition started in 1999 by Pet Sitters International to showcase the joy that dogs bring to our lives and to encourage pet adoption.

The Live Love Wag Team works alongside our pups every day and we can confirm that it definitely makes work more enjoyable! Be everyone’s favorite co-worker and suggest that your office participate! Well behaved pets best serve the purpose of the event, so make sure your dog is friendly towards humans and other dogs and bring his favorite toy or long lasting treat to keep him busy while you work. Of course you’ll want to make sure that your office is free from hazards and be mindful of co-workers with allergies.

Happy PrideFest 2017, Denver! We have a lot to celebrate - after all,  Denver’s first Pride Parade dates all the way back to 1976 and the city boasts an inclusive atmosphere throughout its neighborhoods, an environment that has slowly evolved over years of social progress. In honor of Denver PrideFest 2017, Live Urban Real Estate’s Live Proud has uncovered some juicy gay real estate information.

This month, Trulia cross referenced U.S. Census Data and OkCupid’s available dating information. What they discovered was quite interesting… neighborhoods with high “pride scores” (a zip code in which a comparatively high percentage of gay singles and couples live) tend to sell real estate at a higher cost per square foot: $86 more per square foot than
